About me

For most of the last 15 years I worked on ‘climate and society’ with attention on addressing the gap between routinely produced climate information and its use by society.  In this aim  I work mostly from a climate perspective on health impacts whilst working in collaboration with others from the ‘health side’ and ‘climate side’.  Most of my work has been focused on Africa particularly West Africa but I also work on UK and European persepectives too.

I mostly work towards getting regular and ‘made simple’ use of climate information in decision making and planning processes.  Some progress has been made but there is a long way still to go to the regular use of climate information in decision making especially in low income countires.

I work in a redbrick University in a academic postion where I am currently a Reader.

I have just started to work on a web page with climate information that may be useful for Humanitarian Agencies
